Saratov refinery is one of Russia’s oldest oil-processing enterprises. As of 2023 its processing volume stood at 4.8 million tonnes. The plant is involved in supplying the needs of the Russian armed forces, General Staff emphasized.
Ukrainian forces struck logistical sites of the Russian occupiers on temporarily occupied territory in Luhansk Oblast as well. Specifically, a warehouse for material and technical supplies in the village of Rozkishne and fuel-and-lubricants transport rolling stock in Dovzhansk were hit.
Overnight into Nov. 3, explosions were heard in Saratov; local Telegram channels linked the blasts to another drone attack. Initial reports appeared at about 12:50 a.m. Kyiv time. According to the SHOT channel, sirens and air-defence activity were reported in Saratov, Engels, and in Balakovsky and Kalininsky districts of Oblast.
