UN Secretary-General António Guterres commented on the shelling of a United Nations vehicle in Kherson, though he did not directly name Russia as responsible for the attack, according to a UN press release on May 15.

The United Nations said that on May 14, a clearly marked UN vehicle was struck twice in Kherson. The vehicle was part of a humanitarian convoy delivering aid to civilians in the Ostriv district.

Despite detailing the incident, the UN statement did not explicitly identify Russia as the party responsible for the attack.

According to the organization, no humanitarian workers were injured.

The UN condemned attacks on humanitarian personnel and stressed the need to guarantee their safety while carrying out missions.

Details of the strike and information regarding possible casualties are still being clarified.
