President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff on Nov. 4.

According to a post on the president's Telegram channel, acting Air Force Commander Anatolii Kryvonozhko reported on the fight against Russian air attacks, strengthening air defense, seeking new solutions to protect against guided aerial bombs, and enhancing mobile fire groups.

“Russia is currently using about ten times more Shaheds than last fall, so we need to fully counter them,” Zelenskyy said.

The president also heard reports on Ukrainian production of munitions, weapons, equipment, drones, and electronic warfare systems, as well as contracts for this year and next.

“We reviewed 3–5-year contracts proposed to Ukrainian strategic drone manufacturers. A long planning, development, and investment horizon is needed for manufacturers,” the head of state stated.

Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the use of long-range drones, setting priorities, and planning operations.

Earlier, the president noted that in October, Russia launched over 2,000 Shaheds at Ukrainian territory, which contained about 170,000 components from companies in China, Europe, and the United States.

On Nov. 3, Zelenskyy reported that in just one week, Russian occupiers used more than 900 bombs, around 30 missiles, and nearly 500 Shahed drones against Ukraine.

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that in September, Russia attacked Ukraine with 1,331 Shaheds (an average of about 44 drones per day), and in October, it used 1,908 Shaheds (approximately 62 drones per day).
