The city of Dnipro's power systems were attacked by invading Russian forces on the morning of Oct. 18, presidential deputy chief-of-staff Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported on Telegram, heavily damaging a critical infrastructure facility.
The State Emergency Service is working on the scene, he stated, and said that further details would be provided at a later time.
This is the second time in two days that the city’s power has been impacted by Russian attack - on Oct. 17, Russian missiles struck Dnipro and forced the city to implement rolling blackouts to conserve power.
