Several explosions hit the Russian-occupied town of Berdyansk in Zaporizhzhya Oblast early on June 12, resulting in an electric substation being damaged, Berdyansk city council reported in a Telegram messenger post.

It noted that the extent of the destruction is being checked. Some of the town has been left with out power.

Earlier, the city council reported that more than 10 explosions were heard in different areas of Berdyansk during the day on June 2, including at the city’s port.

At that time, state officials said the explosions in the port might have been due to Russian invasion forces mishandling ammunition.
