"There are very significant direct hits on residential buildings, where, unfortunately, victims, including the deceased, are being recovered from the rubble," Tkachenko wrote.
According to the State Emergency Service (SES), the following damage has been recorded:
in the Darnytskyi district, partial destruction of five- and nine-story residential buildings, the upper floors of a 16-story building, and private houses was recorded;
in the Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire broke out on the shared roof of a seven-story residential building and a hotel. At other addresses, the destruction of a five-story building, a 300-square-meter fire in a five-story residential building, and a fire in a three-story non-residential building were recorded;
in the Holosiivskyi district, a fire broke out on the technical floor of a 16-story residential building;
in the Pecherskyi district, the destruction of a nine-story residential building was recorded. A 200-square-meter fire also erupted there between the first and second floors;
in the Obolonskyi district, a fire broke out at a warehouse facility;
in the Svyatoshynskyi district, two private houses were damaged;
in the Desnyanskyi district, damage to a nine-story residential building was recorded.
The deaths of nine people have been confirmed, with information regarding several others being verified, as rescue operations on site continue. Additionally, 34 people were confirmed wounded, including at least one child.
