Ukrainian companies created a series of new cheap interceptor drones to combat the Russian strike drones that the aggressor country uses to massively attack Ukraine every day.

Interest in these developments has grown amid the U.S. and Israeli operation against Iran and Iranian attacks in the Middle East, from which countries are forced to defend themselves with expensive missiles, particularly Patriot PAC-3s that cost millions of dollars.

Civilians in Ukraine have also begun to take more interest in Ukrainian interceptors, not least because of their original naming. The P1-SUN (SkyFall), Drone v.1 Large Duck or D1L-Duck (Falcons), as well as the new UEB-1 from OSIRIS AI, have become social media stars.

Main characteristics of the UEB-1 drone

The UEB-1 is a high-speed interceptor drone designed to pursue and destroy high-speed aerial targets and guard perimeters.

  • Manufacturer: Ukraine

  • Mass: 3.1 kg

  • Warhead mass: 500 g

  • Flight speed: up to 315 km/h

  • Flight range: up to 18 km

  • Flight duration: >10 min

  • Height: 55 cm

  • Width: 37 cm

Interception is carried out with minimal operator intervention, as the drone is equipped with an AI-based system that autonomously tracks targets.

The drone is built on a rigid carbon X-frame and equipped with a daylight vision camera; a configuration for low-light shooting is also available. The video signal is transmitted in real time with minimal latency at a frequency of 5.8 GHz.

The UEB-1 features a modular payload system for adaptation to mission needs and a 10,000 mAh battery with high discharge power.

The reinforced structure and balanced weight distribution ensure long flights at high speeds and effective maneuvering under significant G-forces.
