41,500 Russian troops killed in Ukraine, reports General Staff

The Ukrainian military destroyed 150 Russian invading troops and more than 50 units of various types of enemy military vehicles over the last day, Ukraine’s General Staff said in its morning report on Aug 4.

Ukrainian forces inflicted the greatest damage on Russian invasion forces on the Bakhmut and Donetsk sections of front. 

Russia’s casualties include (increase over last day in parentheses):

  •       Personnel – 41,500 (+150)
  •       Tanks – 1,789 ( +15)
  •       Armored fighting vehicles – 4,026 (+4)
  •       Artillery systems – 946 (+7)
  •       Multiple Launcher Rocket Systems – 260 (+1)
  •       Air defense systems – 118 (+0)
  •       Warplanes – 223 (+0)
  •       Helicopters – 191 (+0)
  •       UAVs – 742 (+2)
  •       Cruise missiles – 182 (+2)
  •       Warships/military boats – 15 (+0)
  •       Motor vehicles and fuel tankers – 2,960 (+38)
  •       Specialized vehicles – 83 (+0).

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, Russia has already lost about 41,500 soldiers killed, and more than 6,000 units of combat vehicles, 223 planes and 191 helicopters destroyed.
