Russia attacked Ukraine on Feb 24, making Dec. 30 the 310th day of full-scale war. The invasion forces tried to advance from the north, east and south, shelling peaceful cities throughout Ukraine with artillery and from air. Russian missile attacks throughout the country are still ongoing, while the occupiers keep attacking civilian objects.

Since October, the Russian Federation has also been striking Ukrainian cities with Iranian-made kamikaze drones, targeting critical infrastructure facilities throughout the country, leaving citizens without electricity, water, and heat.

During this time, the Kremlin changed the goals of the war in Ukraine several times.

Currently, the Russian occupiers have seized parts of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv oblasts.

The Armed Forces launched a counteroffensive in the south and east of Ukraine, striking Russian warehouses with ammunition and enemy manpower, and succeeded in liberating almost the entire Kharkiv Oblast.

The Ukrainian military also liberated Kherson on Nov. 11, and kicked out the invaders from the right bank of Kherson Oblast. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are also gradually liberating Luhansk Oblast.

After the flight of Russian troops from Kherson, the most difficult situation remains in Donetsk Oblast.
